Effective date: October 2, 2026

1. Program description. When you opt in, BrightShield Insurance may send you text messages about the things you asked for or agreed to:

• Customer care: replies and follow-up on your quote request, insurance review request, phone call, or text to us.
• Appointment reminders: confirmations and reminders for calls or meetings with our agents.
• Policy service updates (existing clients): renewal reminders, payment reminders, documents or ID cards ready, coverage change confirmations, and requests for information needed to service your policy.
• Marketing (only if you separately opted in): occasional offers for coverage reviews, bundling or discount opportunities, and seasonal insurance tips.

We do not send texts to anyone who has not opted in or texted us first, and we do not buy contact lists.

2. How to opt in. You can opt in by checking the text-message consent box(es) on our website form, by texting our business number, or by giving verbal permission to one of our agents. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of buying any product or service.

3. Message frequency. Message frequency varies depending on your quote, appointments, and policy activity.

4. Costs. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

5. How to opt out. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the number that messaged you (for example, 972-608-3391). You may also reply END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, or STOPALL, or tell us in plain words that you want to stop. After you send "STOP," we will send you one text to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, sign up as you did the first time or reply START, and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

6. How to get help. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or contact us directly at 972-752-0212 or john@brightshieldinsurance.com (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm CT).

7. Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Eligibility. You must be the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you provide, and 18 years of age or older.

9. Privacy. If you have any questions regarding privacy, please read our Privacy Policy: https://brightshieldinsurance.com/privacy-policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

10. Changes. We may update these terms. Continued participation after changes means you accept the updated terms.
